After successfully finishing my script, I was off to Paris to meet up with my older sister, Brianne for Thanksgiving. Visiting Paris has been my biggest dream since I could remember so I was very excited! I was also extra excited to see a familiar face during the holiday season!
I made my way to the Edinburgh airport and I was off to Paris. While taking the train to meet up with Brianne, it unfortunately got delayed which put a dent in our plans. After eventually meeting up with Brianne at her hotel, I snacked on some cheese and bread and a glass of wine. The first stop of our adventure as the Eiffel Tower! Let me tell you something, dreams really do come true kids!! I CRIED. While admiring the thinking Eiffel Tower, Brianne and I enjoyed a Nutella crepe. Next, Brianne and I stopped at the Boat Bar to enjoy some music, dancing, and wine. We ended the night by splitting a cheese and ham sandwich and people watching at a Parisian cafe. We quickly went to bed after that night, eager to get some rest.
The next morning, Brianne and I made our journey to Epernay, France, the champagne capital of the world! After walking around Epernay for a bit, Brianne and I grabbed breakfast before starting our champagne tours! We first stopped at Moet & Chandon for our first champagne house tour! We continued to explore Epernay, stopping at a local craft store. We stopped at a few more champagne houses down Champagne Avenue. One of my favorite houses included a house solely owned by a women, who's husband surprised me with an early birthday celebration. It was one of the sweetest things anyone has ever done for me! Definitely the highlight of the trip! We drank our way down Champagne Avenue, even stopping at a champagne house featuring a train through its basement. After feeling a bit tipsy and grabbing some snacks, Brianne and I took a nice nap on the train.
After arriving back in Paris, Brianne and I made our way to the Notre Dame and the center of Paris. We stopped to grab a snack at a local cafe, sitting outside to people watch by the heaters. We explored a local bookstore and grabbed ice cream before heading back to our hotel room. It was very nice to be in a hotel room for this trip!
Brianne and I woke up the next morning and I packed my bag for my last day in Paris. We stopped at Angelina's, a famous tea spot in Paris to grab some hot chocolate and macaroons. We then walked up to admire the beauty of the Lourve. It was a very foggy morning out though. Next, we walked to the Eiffel Tower in the daylight. Unfortunately, the tower was primarily hidden by the fog. It was quite funny though after Brianne and I struggled to find it after coming out of the train. Next, we walked to the Arc de Triumph! Afterwards, Brianne and I were in the mood to shop so we made our way to Gallery de Lafayette. Brianne took me to the top of the building to admire a bird's eye view of Paris.
Afterward some shopping, Brianne and I stopped at a local restaurant to share a cheese board for lunch. It was out last event final adventure together before saying goodbye on the train. Although my flight got delayed when heading back to Edinburgh, I LOVED Paris. It was an absolute dream come true and I was so excited to experience it with a f family member too! I am extra excited to bring my twin sister here during our big adventure. Au revoir, Paris! I will see you soon!
