After arriving late back at my flat Monday night, I woke up for my Tuesday morning lectures and seminars, feeling quite tired but thankful to be back in Scotland. It did take some work to focus on classes that day. I unpacked from my trip, organized my life again, and already reminiscing my adventures of the past week. It was a fairly low-key week of academics coming off of mid-term season.
HAPPY HALLOWEEN! The Scots don't make a big deal out of Halloween, but they hang up decorations while the boys and girls go trick-or-treating. I had another Xavier friend visiting Edinburgh for the day, so I hopped on the train to meet up with her! We grabbed lunch and walked around Old Town for a bit. It was great seeing another familiar face and catching up on our study abroad adventures and experiences so far.
I walked down Victoria Street for some window shopping, checking out the Harry Potter stores to get in the Halloween spirit. I hopped on a train back to Stirling to finish some schoolwork before meeting with friends for Halloween.
This year, my friend Joy and I decided to dress up as American tourists for Halloween. We found the idea very funny. We met up at the Mountaineering Wednesday night dinner and hopped around Stirling for a casual, yet fun Halloween night!
On Thursday, I ran around the loch and completed some homework and caught up on my travel diary! It was Xavier's first basketball game of year, so I was missing Xavier a bit. My very good friend, Emma facetimed me during the game, so I was able to get a little taste of the basketball season.
On Friday, I attended my lectures and seminars and ran back and forth to classes. I desperately had to do some laundry, so it was another casual night in watching Netflix movies and working on my travel diary. I also packed for my Highland field trip with USAC. Check out my next blog post for my trip to the Highlands!
