Uni of Stirling: Week Six

Updated: May 16, 2019

I am officially half way through my semester here at Stirling! It is crazy how fast time is going by. With the midterm season, it meant a busy week of preparing for papers and presentations. On Monday morning, I went to the library to complete some school work. A boy with a Xavier t-shirt ended up sitting in the cubby opposite of me and we grabbed dinner together later that day! With the sunny weather, I took a run around the loch and headed back to the library finish up some school work and Reading Week plans!

Tuesday was also uneventful but a productive day of lectures, seminars, and school work. It is started to get darker out earlier, but with the changing leaves and the golden sun, it is a beautiful sight to see.

Wednesday consisted of heading to a cafe in the Student Union with Joy to plan for our Reading Week adventure. I worked at the library before heading to my screening for Reading Film & TV. I made my way to the weekly Mountaineering Social that night, finally trying Scotland's national drink, Irn-Bru and met some new people! It was nice to take a social break from all of the school work.

Thursday was not a fun day. I spent most of the day in the library finishing a Philosophy paper and practicing presentations. I did go for a run around the loch and explored the wooden pathway behind my flat. The spot looked like it just came out of a fairytale with a small pond and the changing leaves. It was a very pleasant surprise. I made some pasta afterwards and watched a comedy show with my flatmates! After practicing my presentation, I called it a night!

On Friday, I got up and ran around the loch before my presentations for the day. I grabbed lunch at Pronto, a local store in the Student Union and completed my presentations for the day. That day was a bit stressful. To unwind from the day, I walked around the loch with my camera and Polaroid to snap some photographs. Afterwards, I made my way back to my flat to pack for my Reading Week adventures and catch up on my now dried travel diary entries. Watch out for my next blog post on Berlin, Germany! Cheers!
